Ušesa Istre 🌿 Slovenia
Come on a hike with me to Ušesa Istre, a unique natural karst formation on the Slovenia – Croatia border with tall stone arches that you can’t see anywhere else.

Starting Point: Parking near the church of Sv. Kvirika Church
Elevation: Around 220 meters
Difficulty: Easy
What I really loved about this hike is that it’s not very well known. It’s not one of those popular spots everyone talks about. It still feels like a hidden gem. We didn’t meet many people, and that made the whole experience even more special. Just us, the warm sun and wide open views

We parked near the church. The trail is mostly easy and pleasant. There is a short rocky stretch closer to the arches.
We took our time. I stopped so many times to take photos because the views kept getting better and better as we approached the rock formations.

Absolutely stunning and completely unique. You really can’t see anything like this anywhere else
I honestly wish we had brought a snack and just sat there with the view for a while longer. It’s one of those places where you don’t feel like rushing back.

If you’re looking for an easy hike with something truly special at the end — and maybe even a winter hike in short sleeves – Ušesa Istre is such a beautiful choice.
